Who We Are

We are a non-profit health organisation, with profits being reinvested to expand and develop our health services within Zambia.  As a wholly Zambian registered entity, our intent is to provide a sustainable legacy in health care in this country.

Mary Begg Community Clinic opened its doors to the Ndola community as an outpatients clinic in October 2009.  It quickly developed into an integrated cottage hospital offering a wide range of services, and with the implementation of internationally recognized accreditation standards, our Ndola clinic is now a Class A Private Hospital.

In 2013 we took over the running of another Class A facility in Solwezi, as well as a satellite Class C facility in the new mining area of Kalumbila.  The original Class C clinic has since expanded to three Class C clinics.  Early in 2014 we opened a Class A facility, Trident Town Clinic, which has a 16 bedded in-patient unit as well as a laboratory, pharmacy and X-ray services.

We take our social responsibilities seriously and work closely with the public health sector and the private sector in national health programmes including Mother Child Health (MCH), HIV management and nursing care training.  Our Mary Begg Training Centre runs a national CPD approved programme for basic life support, plus advanced life support programmes under the accreditation of the American Heart Association.
